Opt in to Other Sure Signal Option

islanderuk
4: Newbie

I recently signed a new contract and had a new sim card fitted. This meant I had to re-register my Sure Signal.

There is an option on the page "Opt in to other Sure Signals" and I thought this was a good idea and did so.

Subsequently I discovered that I was not receiving any calls or messages at home although I was when away from home.

After contacting Vodafone, who suggested I install a new sim card, and visiting the local Vodafone store where a very rude lady told me it was phone that was at fault, I discovered that if I opted out of "opting in to other Sure Signals" my phone worked perfectly well at home.

There appears to be a problem with this option that makes ones phone not work when in the vacnity of ones own Sure Signal plug.

Just thought I would mention it.

Hi @islanderuk

Please reset he Vodafone Sure Signal –

  1. Hold in the reset button until all lights go solid
  2. Pull the power lead out with the reset button still pushed in
  3. Continue to hold down the reset button and reconnect the power lead
  4. Wait for all lights to come on and then release the reset button

Once this has been done, turn the phones off and back on in the range of the Sure Signal unit.

Cheers,

Laura
