Phones not registering

pcmanning
4: Newbie

After many days of trying to get our SureSignal 2 running again, it was suggested by tech support to try the older SureSignal 1 we still had.  So powered it up, hard reset it and it shows power, internet and ready lights permintantly on - so far good.  We can even see the Vodafone network showing up on our phones if we search for providers and we have both power cycled our phones (it's now 12 hrs plus since I last reset it)

However, neither my wife nor my phones will register even though the numbers are listed as users - my wife's the owner, and I added my phone number last night, so I guess it's never been registered with this Sure Signal.  Also, since we last used the SureSignal 1, we have both had new phones with new SIMs.  So I suspect it's although it's connected, it's not updating correctly.

Been though the comms troubleshooting for the SureSignal 2, and given the fact that this unit is advertising the network, I'd say it's just not syncing?  Please, could someone take a look see what's happening at the Vodafone end?

Serial Number for this one is:  21196826271

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your post.

I’ve checked your serial number and everything looks fine.

Are other registered users able to connect?

I’ve re-synced for you today so please complete this by performing a factory reset as follows:

-Hold in the reset button until all lights go solid

-Pull the power lead out with the reset button still pushed in

-Continue to hold down the reset button and reconnect the power lead

-Wait for all lights to come on and then release the reset button

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks,

Jenny

I have a similar problem.

My phone and my sons phone is registered in suresignal and used to work fine.

But now we both get 4 bars on our phone when near the sure signal but it keeps coming up with phone not registered on the network when trying to make a phone call or send a text.

I have tried resetting so does it need a resync??

If so How do I go about requesting one please??

In case this helps.

Hi Andy,

I've requested a firmware update for you.

Please make sure the Sure Signal is switched on over the next 24 hours.

This should resolve the issue for you. :smileytongue:

Thanks

Ian

That solved it thank you.
