I have finally (or so I thought) managed to get my SS box working after several phone calls and several days. Only to find that I have a 3G signal now but I am unable make or receive phone calls from my handset. When attempting to make a call a message - CONGESTION appears. I telephoned the support team who didn't seem to know what the problem was (this took over an hour on the phone) - I was asked to reset the VSS. I have done this but still cannot make or receive calls. The VSS box is recognising my handset as the phone symbol comes on when I send e-mails. All ports are also open - - - --
VSS serial no 40111635781
But when I walk to the bottom of the garden I can make and receive calls, i can also make and receive calls when the VSS is turned off........ must be a problem with the VSS.
Other messages on this forum have had this problem resolved by the tech team doing something to the back room server?
I am getting really desperate now, like others this SS is needed so that I can work......

We have resynchronised your Sure Signal device using your serial number, please reset the device and check this for us.

I have completed the factory reset on t VSSn but the problem still exists. All trouble shooting advice has been followed, please could you resolve.

Yes the problem still exists, the VSS has been re- set twice now but i still cannot make or receive calls. Others have had this issue on this forum and have been told that it is a back ground problem which only you can resolve and others have been told that it is something to do with the postcode not being added to your database and the SMS?????
Also the upload and down load speads have been checked and are fine, i have pinged the VSS and these readings are also okay. My phone is enabled to receive 3G and can do so in other areas where there is a 3G signal - not boosted by the VSS.
This issue has now been going on for over a month and i would really like it resolved, the VSS was purchased by my employers to enable home working.
Please do help

Your issue sounds like a SAC (service area code) issue, if James or one of the other Mods can put a request for it to be updated it should be working within a day or two.

I was sent another sure signal box by Vodaphone, this has been registered now. Could you please add my postcode to the SAC now. Serial no of the new VSS is 40114638659. I am still experiencing the same issue with the new VSS - unable to make or receive calls, congestion.

Thanks for your post.
Can you confirm exactly what the issue is here as it's not clear?
Are you having problems making and receiving calls, or are you only having problems making calls?
Could it be that the call quality isn't up to standard?
The reason I ask is that these issues are caused by different things and being able to specify the issue exactly will help us find a resolution for you at the earliest convenience.
