Solution

Problem with BT Home Hub 3 and Sure Signal v3

My Sure Signal v3 has stopped working after 4 weeks of continued use. I have BT Home Hub 3 with a v3 Sure Signal which worked fine but has just stopped working. The Sure Signal just sits with the connecting light flashing. I have rebooted the broadband and sure signal, reset the sure signal to factory settings and tried port forwarding on the broadband router. I would like to know what has changed as it worked fine for 4 weeks. I work from home and have no Vodafone signal prior to getting the Sure Signal and this is affecting my work to the point I may need to find another provider. Please can someone give me some tips to try and get my signal working. James

Hi Penfold89 and welcome to the eForum

Can you take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread, and then post back your results if you’re not directed to an existing thread?

Thanks

Wayne

Wayne, the link below does not answer my problem. I get the red light solid and the internet light flashes, and does this continuously. Ths Sure Signal has worked for weeks but not longer connects.

Wayne, results of the tests :

Hi James,

Thanks for getting back to us.

The Sure Signal hasn’t connected to the network since the 11 January.

I've given the Sure Signal a resync for you.  So that the resync completes, please can you do a factory reset for me: -

  • Find the button on the base of the unit next to the Ethernet ports
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around one hour

You’ll then need to leave the Sure Signal for 6 Hours.

Please let us know how you get on.

Thanks,

Gemma
