Problems Adding User

Hi,

 I've a sure signal, all is going well. I've a new flatmate, and I've added him on via the dashboard. He received a text saying he could use the sure signal, but he doesn't get any signal, although I do. We've power cycled the sure signal, and his phone, but no help.

Hi,

 I had a look at that thread but couldn't see my problem. On the webpage the process shows how to add a user, but then doesn't advise how long it takes, or what to expect once you've added a user. The links don't work correctly either, there's a link for 'adding/changing user' which takes you to another page which has no references to SS on it. It's all very poor, as is having no signal in central London (SW11),

 The thread you've directed me to covers too many topics, trying to read through 231 posts, not related to adding a user and what to expect isn't ideal.

I've spoken with Vodafone customer care by phone, and they've advised that it can take up to 24 hours for a phone to register fully.

I seem to be in the same position.

 

I can use my Sure Signal without any problems but my wife is unable to connect. I have followed the trouble-shooting steps, and swapped SIMs in our phones (at which point her phone was able to connect) and so I'm hoping that it is just a delay in activating other users.

 

Please let me know how your flatmate gets on.

Hi mate,

  both phones working fine. It would seem this takers 12-24hrs, I've no idea why Vodafone have omitted this, might save alot of people time searching for a none existant problem if they did...

Yep - have noticed the same thing here. Both phones are now working fine on the SureSignal.

 

Like you said, it does seem strange that Vodafone don't advise owners how long it may take for a user to become active on a Sure Signal.

Hi All

 

Thanks for letting us know that your numbers have become active on your Sure Signals.

 

It is correct that in theory it can take up to 24 hours to register the number via the Sure Signal. It is usually quicker however it appears in these cases it has taken a little while to register.

 

If you do ever require any further help please check out the Sure Signal troubleshooting thread provided in the previous post and post back to us if you need any further assistance.
