Reception not clear in iPhone 4S

I've two vodafone mobile at home. mine is a iphone 4s and my wife has a blackberry. we also have a sure signal for a year now. even with a sure signal the reception is not clear at home for my iphone 4s. Callers always complain that they are not able to hear me. In terms of network i do have 3 to 4 bars in the phone.

 

we dont have a problem in the blackberry though. reception is very clear. I used to have this problem with my HTC earlier and thats the reason I swapped over to iphone 4s..

 

how do i solve this ?

Thanks for your post here. I’m sorry to hear that you are having problems with this. I can appreciate how frustrating this must be for you.

 

Can you tell me if this happens in other locations away from the Sure Signal? Or does it only happen when attached to the Sure Signal?

 

Is your iPhone definitely attached to the Sure Signal? i.e. do you get a 3G symbol on your iPhone’s display?

 

Also, can you please let us know your Sure Signal serial number?

Hi Wayne,

 

This doesnt happen in other locations and its only at home and that too only with my iphone 4s. As I said it doesnt happen with my wife's blackberry. I do get a 3G signal on the phone and quite a good number of bars.

 

my suresignal serial no is 40112560053 and is registered at my home location

Thanks for coming back to us.

 

I have taken a look at your Sure Signal and can see that at the moment it is showing as a location change has been detected which can sometime affect the usability of the Sure Signal.

 

To rule this out I have updated the location profile and also re-synced the Sure Signal for you today.

 

Please can you also reset the Sure Signal using the instructions below and let me know if you notice any improvements.

 

It may also be worth toggling the airplane mode on and off again on the iPhone to make sure it definitely connects to the Sure Signal correctly.

Looked like it worked but same issue remains. I've done reset of Sure signal and also toggled air-plane mode..

Thanks for coming back to us and apologies that you've not received a reply sooner. Having taken a look at the details everything on the surface appears to be OK, so we have raised this with our internal support teams and we await their reply. Unfortunately I don't have a timescale for this, however I am subscribed to the thread so as soon as I receive an update I'll be in touch.

 

One quick suggestion that may help, is the number on the iPhone 4S the registered owner of the Sure Signal? If so, I would recommend changing the owner to one of the other numbers on your account and registering your iPhone as a user. Please let me know if this makes a difference.

Tried changing it but couldnt.. currently my sure signal is registered to my data card number. Tried giving admin rights to my iphone 4s number, but couldnt. also it might be pertinent to note that mine is a business account..

Hi I have experienced the same problem. Ever since I joined Vodafone in order to get the iPhone 4S I have encountered network trouble (no service and it keeps cutting out)) e.g especially at home (live in a bungalow) and on the train. I had the iPhone 3GS and was with o2 and never had any trouble. I have had the phone for nearly 2 weeks and invested in the Sure Singnal device hoping that it would solve the problem at home and it hasn't! Please could you get this matter resolved otherwise I will do my upmost to change networks having paid extra to get better reception. My sure signal serial number is: 40114247691 Cheers Peter

Thanks for your post. Having checked your Sure Signal I can see that this was registered on 26/03 at 11:22am and it can take up to 24 hours to make a connection with your device. At the time of posting it hadn't been 24 hours, are you still experiencing difficulty with your Sure Signal?
