Replacement Sure signal

Hi,

I am having problems with my replacement sure signal, it will not register. When i tried the "replace" option a message came back saying "Sorry, you don't seem to have registered yet, contact CS".

So, I tried the "Register another" option and the message i had back was "Serial number already registered".

I then went onto live chat and the operative said leave the new serial number with him and he will get the engineers to sort it out for me and i would get an automated message when this was done. I didn't get one and it isn't fixed.

I tried live chat again 24 hours later and the operative tried to register the new one and failed. He then de-registered my old one and tried again and failed. He said there was a problem with the system and i should try again in 48 hours. Both asked me if it was a new unit and i said i was sent it as a replacement and it was probably a refurbished unit (says so on the letter). I told them both that was the problem but the last guy said it was the system that was down. So still no joy. So, just out of interest i tried re-registering my old one and what do you know .....it worked. (although i no longer have the old unit.)

Now i know what will happen when i contact CS in 48 hours, they will not be able to do anything. Why? Because the new one is still registered to someone else!!!!!. Two weeks now without a signal and it's driving me nuts!

Can you just send me one that isn't registered and we can all be happy again?  Please??

Now i can't even log onto "My Vodafone" account.  "System error. Please re-try your action. If you continue to get this error, please contact the Administrator."

Is the whole of Vodafone on melt down or something?

You couldn't make it up!!! I have posted twice at my dismay with Vodafone and they send me two messages congratulating me on posting twice to the forum!!!!!  I forsee that after 15 years with Vodafone i will be following the NHS and switching to EE/Orange.   Ooops, did i say that? ;o)

I have been in the forum for 16.9 hours now and still no one from the Tech-Team will talk to me to help resolve this situation.

Hi JennyB,

Thanks for posting. My apologies we didn't get to you sooner. We do try to respond to all posts in chronological order within 24 hours. This isn't usually an issue, however the whole of my team have been through half a days worth of training this week so we're running slightly behind.

So that we can troubleshoot this for you, can you follow the Sure Signal troubleshooting guide here and then post back the template results that you get directed to? These details will help us to identify your unit if we need to check it this end as well as rule out any generic set up issues you may have with the replacement device. :Smiling:

Cheers, Ben

Hi Ben, thanks for the reply. As i said in my initial post the replacement SS you sent me is still registered to someone else, it's a reconditioned unit.

Sorry Ben but i do not get directed to a template to fill in and post, just some noob FAQ pages.

My old unit i sent back was SN# 21229657842 and the new one(recon) you sent me is SN# 40123642221

is this what you want?

I don't see how that will help. All that is needed is either you de-register the new unit so i can register it or send me another one that isn't registered and i will send you this one back??

28 hours and 33 mins later still no result. It will be 3 weeks tomorrow with out SS.  How hard can it be?:smileyfrustrated: :smileymad:
