Good morning, having read all the articles, i have arrived at the fact I need a resync for VSS unit 40112898172 please.

I have re-synced the Sure Signal for you however, if this doesn’t resolve you issue please can you let us know exactly what issue you are experiencing and we will be able to advise you further.

I've tried a reset again and it's still not connecting so better try a resync and see if that fixes it!

I think I need another resync please - I've tried deregistering and re-registering but no joy even though it shows up as Active. I've tried resetting and all the other troubleshooting steps - tracer looks fine. Serial number is 40113600429. Thanks.

I've done a resync on both of your Sure Signal boxes on the system.

 

Can you try another factory reset for me to make sure this takes and let us know if this helps?

I've done the resync for you. Can you carry out a factorty reset of the Sure Signal for me?

 

  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead.
  • Once all lights display release the reset button.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

Hi Dave thanks for resyncing. I have factory reset but no joy - one solid red light, lots of network activity.. Sorry for the late reply - I am only occasionally at this location but cannot use my phone here at all because the SureSignal is so unreliable. Any other ideas?

I have two VSS's - (40121018069 and 40111035982) which haven't connected for a few days now. I think it could be due to the traceroute below, but could they be resynced to see if that does the trick? Any other advice gratefully received. I  know there are some Virgin Media issues but I don't have the superhub so I don' think its that.

A solid red light would mean that the Sure Signal is powered on but not showing a connection.  I've checked the previous resync for you but it doesn't seem like it refreshed.  I've forced this through for you again and can confirm that's it's updated this time.  Can you please perform a factory reset to the device:

 

  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead.
  • Once all lights display release the reset button.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

I've noticed that you did also de-register the device after Daves post last time and then re-registered in a very short space of time.  If you wish to try this again after the resync can you please leave it about 24 hours before trying to re-register. Let me know how this goes for you.

I've arranged the resunc to both Sure Signals for you. Now I just need you to perform a factory reset of them both as mentioned above please?

im still having a problem even after resync and reset (and de/re registering). My wifes iphone4S (with old sim card) still works fine on suresignal, my old iphone4S (with new sim) doesnt work or my new iphone5 (with new nano sim)

 

have tried all the resets again tonight

 

any ideas as this is now a real pain of a problem

Many thanks for that. I think I've factory reset properly, but they're both still flashing the two white lights for 20 mins or so and then they're  just standing with only the red power light on...

They've been really solid up until the end of last week, so am very frustrated as you can imagine!

P.S. I was trying to get into My Vodafone to check they were still registered, but I haven't been able to log in to that since last week either - at present I get:
