You say that no firmware updates have been sent out for a while. What about Software updates ?

Dave in his post above asked me to factory reset the SS Box to insure it has the latest updates.

You also say that Handover has never been supported. Then how on earth was it working for me for over a year and then it

just stopped working ? I am not the only one who has reported this scenario.

I didn't imagine it. It used to work absolutely fine.Had it not have done, I would have registered this problem long before now.

So as things stand, I have a phone that will only work with the Suresignal Box if I fiddle with it. Added to which , It is not guaranteed to maintain a connection to the box, which in turn means I risk losing calls from clients.

This is just not good enough.

I have just got my Sure Signal a few days ago and am having exactly the same problem.

When I return home I do not connect to my SS, the only way is to switch the network manually.

I also have the problem that when I am connected, without leaving the house and sometimes even the same room as the SS, my phone disconnects and connect back to the outside mast where again get 1 or 0 bars of signal.

Has there been any solution to this yet??

Hi Lee, just to mention that i have exactly the same issue with my Galaxy Note which was supplied by Vodafone & has not been upgraded since i received it. It was all fine until a few weeks ago so it really does seem as if some form of update has been applied to the SS.

Hard to see what else it could be really?

Thanks for your posts and replies. Lee did raise this with our Sure Signal team on Saturday morning and so far as yet we haven't received any updates. As soon as we have further information on this we'll be back on to update the thread.

We are currently investigating issues such as this with our support teams however, can you confirm if this happens with WIFI disabled?

Something strange has started happening today with my SS box. 

I have been in and out of my flat several times today and on a couple of occasions, I forgot to switch my phone to flight mode and back again, to get a connection to the Suresignal.

However, after about 5-10 mins I check my phone and sure enough, it has conencted to the SS box without intervention.

Have Vodafone pushed out a fix by any chance ?

Just to update Vodafone regarding my SS Box.

Coming home from work today I waited for my phone to log onto my Suresignal box.. 

It connected after an hour which does not signify the problem is fixed at all.

In my office, the same phone connected to the Sure Signal box there instantly.

Any fix on the horizon ?

Thanks for your post here.

I have seen a similar issue in the past which looked to be location specific, so we can see if this is the same are you able to register the Sure Signal at a different postcode area and see if the same issue happens?

This will also help to identify if there is a lag with your Sure Signal allowing the phones connection.

My apologies for not replying sooner however I didn’t seem to get the update from Dave.

This is a bit of a strange one however it does look to be a similar issue to the one with the Samsung Galaxy S2 however can you confirm if changing the network settings to WCDMA (3G only) helps to stabilise the Sure Signal connections?

Also does this happen with any other phone connected to the Sure Signal?

If you can let me know we will be able to add this to our investigations.

I will be unable to check out the lag issue at another postcode until next week at the earliest.

Given that the phone connects straight away in my office and eventually connects at home, suggests the lag issue.

Question is, is there a fix ?

Hi James i have tried switching to WCDMA only all was good for about 3 1/2 hours then my phone disconected from the sure signal box.

i now have this problem i have full signal bars but no connection

My phone has started disconnecting when moving out of range - ie going into another room.

Lee said a few weeks ago he was contacing support about this.

Have Vodafone got an answer yet or is it not on your list of priorities ?

There is no point me taking my Suresignal to another site to test it for lag issues, when it wont hold

a signal at my home location.

Please can we have an answer to this issue.
