SOLUTION: VSS V3 + VirginMedia Superhub 2

4: Newbie

All,

If you have a Vodafone Sure Signal v3 and a VirginMedia Superhub 2, and have difficulties connecting your VSS to the Vodafone Network, please follow this process:

- First and foremost, make sure you've tried everything else presented in this forum, such as entering the required Ports in "Port Forwarding" section of your router.

1. Type http://192.168.0.1/ in your browser to access your SuperHub console

2. Sign-in. Original password is: "changeme"

3. Click on 'ADVANCED SETTINGS" at the bottom

4. Scroll down to the "SECURITY" section and click on "FIREWALL"

5. Enable the Firewall and check "IPSEC PASS-THROUGH" to enable it

6. Click on "APPLY" at the bottom

N.B. If "APPLY" button is red, it means you haven't saved your choice! It has to become grey.

7. Although it is not mandatory, reboot your Superhub

8. Reset your VSS (Reset button is at the bottom, near the Ethernet ports)

9. Wait a few hours until the lights come normal

POWER: Red and steady

INTERNET: White and Steady

SERVICE: White and Steady

It should work now.

Hi wdiamond,

Welcome to the eForum. :Smiling:

Can you take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread, and then post back your results if you’re not directed to an existing thread?

Cheers, Ben
