Have re-booted router and SS; router fine; SS 1 light (no signal for me...)

speed test results at 6PM:

DL 6.96

UL 0.85

Well, I was hoping it would be sorted this AM, but no - still power light plus second light flashing (slowly). Now what?

Hi kdietz,

I've given the Sure Signal a resync from this end, so can you reset it for me?

  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead.
  • Once all lights display release the reset button.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

Let us know if this helps.

Dave

Hi Dave,

Done - will let you know.

Thanks for your response.

Karen

Hi Dave - most definitely NOT working!

Really need my signal.

What do you advise?

...this morning: 1 and 2 solid.

No Service.

Please advise?

Hi Karen,

I’ve checked your serial number and can see that it connected to our servers at just after midnight today, are you still unable to get a signal?

To make sure your Sure Signal is as up to date as possible, I’ve just resynced it.

So that the resync completes, can you perform a factory reset:-

  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show/flash (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead
  • Once all the lights display, release the reset button
  • The Sure Signal will come online in about an hour

Let me know how you go on.

Hi keeleypb,

I’m happy to try a resync of your Sure Signal to see if that fixes things for you.

Can you let me have your serial number please? I’ve checked your other posts and can’t find it.

Thanks,

Andrew

mine finally came back on by itself this morning around 7am - after around 40 hours down, thanks for the offer though, I'm sure I'll be reporting it again next time it happens

Hi Andrew,

No; I don't have a signal, and if you read back through the thread, you will see that I have already reset the SS, according to instructions, twice, after it having been re-sync'd...

However, I have just done it AGAIN, as per your request.

If it does not work this time, can you please give me some indication of what the next steps will be? I do not wish to sound impertinent, but I feel that doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is pointless (so please do not ask me to reset it again...).

Hi kdietz,

The next thing we'd suggest is trying it on a different Internet connection (at a friend's house for example) so that we can rule out a fault with the Sure Signal.

Let us know how you get on,

Kay
