Hi hewishmobile,

Looking at the trace route, there is a lot of latency on the line.

We’d normal expect the numbers on the trace route to reach no more than 300ms. As you can see from yours, they’re well above that and as such, the connection is too poor to run the Sure Signal.

You’ll need to get in touch with your ISP, to see if they can help improve things for you.

Thanks,

Wayne

Hi

Just done it again:

and it looks better but still no sign of connection.

I guess this can be a bit variable.

I'll email my isp.

Thanks.

Andy

Also:

My isp is WildWest.net which is wireless broadband transmitted line of sight from one user to another in North Devon. My neighbour who receives his broadband transmitted on from me is not having problems with his SureSignal which would suggest to me that the problem is not with my isp. Also, nothing I am aware of has changed since mine was working. Another thing, reading your instructions about ressetting the SS3 it doesn't matter how long I press the reset button, at no point do all the lights come on. Could something possbily have gone wrong with the box (perish the thought!)?

Andy

I've had a response from my isp and they say nothing has changed, so my ss3 should be working normally.

Now if you can't suggest anything better  - if I tried my ss3 down at my neighbours and it still didn't work  that would suggest  my ss3 is knackered wouldn't it? The only thing is I would hate to do that and then find my ss3 managed to b****r up their system - is that a possibility?

Andy

Please can I have a response on this today it's beyond a joke. I've got 4 phones needing to use this ss3. Thats a lot of money going to vodafone for not much.

Hi @hewishmobile ,

We advise up to 48 hours for a reply after you've posted.

Thanks for trying it at a different location.

If you've had the Sure Signal less than two years, we can arrange a repair here.

Thanks,

Ian
