SSV2 Issues, not working!

JoeF2k2

The other day my SS V2 stopped working all of a sudden, it took almost 7 hours to come back on. It has gone off again as of yesterday and has not come back on since despite countless resets. I have changed network cables, reset the modem, changed the MTU etc all to no avail.

I have opened or made sure the relevant ports are working, I have tried everything else and its getting ridiculous now that I cant use my own monthly plan in my house because of this junk!

Thanks

Hi,

It may also be worth trying a different power supply with the SureSignal (Version 1 & 2 ), as there have been some reports of replacement power supplies solving the issues.

They are available on eBay for around £10.

From member cineriv "But firstly, have a look around for a suitable unit with a 12 Volt output @ around 1.5Amp capacity that you could 'borrow' to prove the fault.

Suitable units can be found on external hard drives, monitors, printers, routers etc.etc."

Hi,

I did that also, used the power supply which i use for a switch as they were both the same, switch is working fine so it cannot be that.

thanks

If your on 2 years then please double check as the device has a 24 month warranty.

I brought it second hand, not sure how long the previous owner had it for.

@JoeF2k2

If nothing else has changed with your connection/ISP, it could indicate a fault with the Sure Signal.

Can you tell me:

  • What download/upload speeds are you getting?
  • What’s your public IP address?
  • What’s your Sure Signal serial number?
