Thanks for your post. I've checked though your posts and can see your IP has now been updated to a UK registered IP. I've therefore requested for this to be added to the whitelist.

There have been reports of an outage from other users at about that time. The issue is now resolved, however. Your VSS should come online shortly.

System started flashing and is now steady as at 1320. Handset connecting successfully.

 

If any of you guys did something to fix it, then thanks for the speedy response. If not, what happened? Is this type of outage common? Unfortunately it went down in the middle of a call.

@BarryMEP, we had confirmation this morning that the IP address has now been added to the White List for you.

6 days since my last post and not a peep from anyone.

 

This is beyond ridiculous now. Over thre months without a relaible service. Promises of this and that person contacting me and nothing.

My ISP  changed the IP range they are using in the last couple of weeks and the Vodafone Sure Signal hasn't worked since they changed the IP address on my router, from reading these forums I suspect the new range is not on your whie list as it worked perfectly before the change, the new IP address is 91.235.56.148.  The serial number of the Sure signal is 40113102376 .  Could you check this and advise what I need to do next please?

Replacement SS arrived and I've registered it. So far so good but I'd like to leave it for a few days before coming back as it has on occasion lasted for best part of a week.

First Post on the forum,

 

Just managed to register my sure signal after 24 hrs of mayhem with settings, routers etc etc. Now I have a solid power light only and nothing is happening after following all the help and advice within the forum and tech guides, you tube etc.

My new VSS V2 has only a steady power light (the other two lights flash for 10mins at startup and then go out). The unit has been registered for over 24 hours.

It has been assigned a reserved (static) IP address that I can ping from the internal network.

I have opened the ports on my router.

The status is showing as active.

Have been through all the instructions and nothing?

To follow on from my previous post, I have managed to get it working.

 

I went back to the equipment that was supplied by BT.

 

There is the BT Openreach DSL modem (Echolife HG612 - FTTC VDSL NTE) connected to the phone line via the DSL port. The DSL modem is connected from the LAN1 port to the BT 2Wire Gateway (2701HGV-C) on the red fibre port with the UTP cable.

 

I have the rest of my LAN and the VSS plugged into the Ethernet LAN ports on the 2Wire gateway.

 

So it would appear that the issue is with the Vigor 2750 router?

Welcome to the eForum from all of the team.

 

I have taken a look at the Sure Signal for you and can see that it is fully registered and connected to our server this morning.

 

Can I ask if you are still experiencing this issue?

 

If yes, please can you let me know your external IP address so this can be checked against our white list.

 

@ sparkiemike, are you able to try the Sure Signal either with a different router or on a different internet connection to identify if it is an equipment or a broadband issue.

 

@ stuartscales, I can see that the Sure Signal is registered and also the IP range is currently on the white list for you.

 

However I can see that your Sure Signal has not connected to our server and looking at your traceroute It looks like there is a latency issue on hop 6 as the ping time is currently 699ms which is bordering on the limit for the Sure Signal to create a VPN connection.

 

You will need to contact your ISP directly to raise a fault with the line before we can look at this any further.
