One other piece of information... When I run my laptop through the PC connection in my sure signal it works fine until I reboot the laptop and then it doesn't work and if I want to go online I need to unplug the lead and run it directly to the cable modem from the laptop as usual. Once online I can feed the signal quite happily via the sure signal. Everything about this is frustrating. Given the delay in solving this problem I hope I will still be able to return the machine if I am unable to get it to worl.

Hi there,
This had no effect. Just got told by the engineers on the phone that it is an ip blocking issue and that it can only be fixed via the forum. Haste would be appreciated.

Hi guys,
Riverman61, I notice you mention that your Sure Signal works until you reboot your laptop. This sounds more like it's a problem with the way your router is allocating bandwidth to the Sure Signal. I'd recommend contacting your ISP/Router manufacturer to ensure that this is setup in the most efficient manner.
taverhamhall, so that we can check on the IP range, can you please let me know your current IP address. This can be found here.
Kind Regards,
George.

No that's working fine now, it just happened the first time I tried it but I've taken it back out of the box and reconnected it as I thought it might help you locate it remotely and the PC is now working fine.

Hi,
I have attempted all the troubleshooting steps and made sure that I have UPnP and DHCP turned on but I still only get a steady power light on the Sure Signal. I have a Netgear DG834G. Please advise. Thanks.

This is rediculous. Will someone PLEASE get on this forum and start providing a service. It is rediculous that I can't get this problem solved on the phone. But if I do have to use the forum I expect someone to be keeping an eye on it. I have simply asked how I can privately send you my external IP. I have yet to receive a reply and I posted yesterday.

Tech team,
Since there was no reply on this forum I called Vodafone (AGAIN). they told me to enter the profile of one of the tech team and from there I can contact directly to give my external IP address. I explained that there was no way of doing this from the profile and the sure signal second line technician told me they were going to find the button and call me back...2 hours ago. so I thought I would attach a screenshot of what I see when I am in George's profile. Tried on more than one PC and in more than one browser.
I STILL am unable to use Sure Signal and my IP is STILL blocked because I have been UNABLE to give it to you.

Hey folks,
I'm sorry for the late reply but we're extremely busy right now and we do work posts on a first come, first served basis.
@ ElliotD - Please could you let me know your Sure Signal serial number?
@ taverhamhall - You can post the external IP on the eForum; there's absolutely no risk involved but if you're not comfortable with it then please reply to my email with the requested information along with the external IP obtained from here.
@ Riverman61 - I've read through your replies and one indicated the problem was resolved in terms of your PC. I've checked your serial number and George resynced it on Tuesday. I note that you've not been advised of this and for this I apologise. You will need to perform a factory reset to finalise the process.
- Hold down the reset button till all the lights come on or flash (about 30 seconds)
- Keeping the reset button held, remove and re-insert the power lead
- Once all the lights come back on or flash, release the reset button
- The VSS should come online within the hour
Cheers all,
Lee

Hello
After many months of suresignal working great around 2pm today it stopped workin.
I have tried reseting the device many times but still does excatly the same
After powering up the unit the signal + call lights flash for around 10 mins then both go out leaving just Steady Power Light Only.
Called " Tech Support" as they like to be known for some unknown reason ![]()
Suprize all they did was to perform a re sync and promise to call me back in 30 mins and Did Not Call Back
(this is the common way to get you off phone and i see nothing has changed there in 18mths of owning suresignal)
Anyway i no the Forum Staff Here are not like that and will help out till problems are resolved
My SS serial: 40111029183
Kind Regards

Still not working
I've tried what you suggested twice and it still isn't working. By the reset button I assume you meant the small reset hole on the back which I pushed a pen into. It flashed just as you said and again after I removed and reinserted the power cable, then after a while the two lights flashed for ten minutes and then both went off again. As I said I've tried this twice and it had no effect. Please advise.

Hi, newly registered since my old login didnt work and the email address is no longer available... (been vodafone customer for some time)
Had suresignal since june working fine, recently been playing up a lot with no signal which has led me here.
Suresignal serial number is : 21224713541
Ports are correctly forwarded in my Netgear DGN2200, ISP is Zen - speedtest results are 6meg down / 0.35 up as usual
Tracert results are as follows (similar fail point to others it seems)

Have rebooted router several times and done hard reset of suresignal box twice - still no signal.
Please can someone look into this - I'm stuck with vodafone until feb 2013 so really can't accept this poor level of signal where I live! (Unfortunately we found our new house 1 week after signing a two year deal, moved in a few months later and there's no vodafone coverage here!)
Thanks,
Matt
