Sure Signal 1 not working

I have lights 1, 2 & 4 lit green but registered phone won't connect and light 3 does not flicker or come on at any stage other than immediate flash during reset.  Live Chat recommended taking the sure signal to a store for them to look at it but I want to try here before going to that trouble.

Hi

The Sure Signal has a 24 month warranty on it so if that's expired then they may just advise to buy a new one at the High street Store.

It has been advised in the past with the v1 to try an alternative power cord as they are known to degrade and cause issues.

They are available on eBay for around £10.

From member cineriv "But firstly, have a look around for a suitable unit with a 12 Volt output @ around 1.5Amp capacity that you could 'borrow' to prove the fault. Suitable units can be found on external hard drives, monitors, printers, routers etc.etc."

Current Phone  >

Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512gb Phantom Black.

Thanks for the advice but I have had the power unit issue before and changed it a couple of years ago - that doesn't seem to be what is causing the issue this time.

Warranty for my version 1 is long expired.  If they are only going to recommend buying a new one, I may as well save the time and expense of going to town and just buy one (unless they do a good part exchange deal!!)

Hi Tim,

I agree, this is not a power supply problem!

It's possible that a re-sync will solve the problem, hold on til a moderator is available as they can carry this out.

Regards.

@TimGriff6 Thanks for providing us with your Sure Signal details.

I've taken a look into this for you and can see that the device was deregistered earlier today. If you'd like us to resync this for you, please register your Sure Signal and let us know once this has been completed :smileyhappy:

Thanks for the offer Natasha.  I had a really bad phone call which cut out 3 or 4 times so I threw the toys out of the pram and got a new version 3 SS on the basis that it was probably going to cost me less overall.  I will keep the old one for a while and may try registering again to see if that starts it up but with the new one working I am happy for the time being.
