I've noticed that my Sure Signal v1 is no longer working, only lights 1 and 2 lit solid green, no third or fourth light. I have tried re-setting the unit three times and tried another power supply, no resolution to the problem. System details as follows:-

Hi Gordon,

The light sequence you have now described makes all the difference ...... You require a new power supply!

You did comment on your first post that you had tried another power supply .... That one must be duff as well or it wasn't the correct rating for the sure signal

If you require one, they are available on Amazon or Ebay and cost around £10 inc. delivery.

Regards

Mike.

Sorry, those links are not helping me at all. I think I have tried every test and checked all network settings, still won't connect to my phone, still only lights 1 and 2 lit.

Hi Gordon,

Your details appear to be fine.

It could be that you require a re-sync or a software update.

Hold fire and a member of the Tech team should be able to help.

Hi @gordonxring

Thanks for the info.

I've sent an update to your Sure Signal.

Please wait 24 hours and preform a reset as follows -

  • Hold in the reset button until all lights go solid
  • Pull the power lead out with the reset button still pushed in
  • Continue to hold down the reset button and reconnect the power lead
  • Wait for all lights to come on and then release the reset button

Let me know how you get on.

Thanks,

Amanda

Well, I waited 36 hours then did a reset. The Sure Signal went through a long sequence of different flashing combinations then finally settled back to the first two lights solid green, as before. I've tried two more resets, no change, still gives two solid greens only. Does this mean it is no longer functional?

I've just noticed that the SS appears to keep rebooting. First light comes on solid, second one flashes then goes solid, fourth light flashes for a minute or so, then all lights go out. A few minutes later the process repeats itself. Anyone any idea what is going on?

I have now tried the alternative power supply that I used in the first set of tests and lo and behold, the SS now works. Seems to have been a combination of power supply and requiring an update. Thanks to those who helped.
