Sure Signal 2 Stopped working 1/5/2012 ?????

Hello,

My Sure Signal stopped working yesterday - all I get is steady power light and the other two flash.

I have done the following troubleshooting:-

1) Reset the Broadband router back to default (Its a HomeHub V3)

2) Reset the Sure Signal using the reset button. This is the procedure I used:-

  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show (about 30 seconds) keeping the reset button held down.
  • Remove then re-insert the power lead.
  • Once all lights display release the reset button.

3) Confirmed the Sure Signal is receiving an IP address via DHCP

4) Generated a traceroute output as follows:-

Johns-MacBook-Pro:~ milesj$ traceroute 212.183.133.177

Please perform a re-sync at your end and if possible tell me the time/date it last connected.

Sure Signal Serial Number is 40110717663

Please advise my next steps in getting this resolved.

Thanks in anticipation

Re: Sure Signal 2 Stopped working 1/5/2012 ?????

Hi guys,

Thanks for your posts.

We've been informed of an issue that has just been resolved that ties in with your reports of not being able to connect since the 1st May.

We're currently working through a backlog of administration requests and expect the provisioning issues to be resolved as soon as possible.

If you could both post back your serial numbers in the event you're not back online by tomorrow we'll be able to look into individual cases.

Cheers,

Lee

Re: Sure Signal 2 Stopped working 1/5/2012 ?????

I have exactly the same problem. Been intermittent since yesterday PM. I have tried all usual things, done tracert to 212.183.131.128 and gets to 85.205.116.10 and no further. Tried from both my Zen and BT ISPs and get same result.

my sure signal is 40113859090

Re: Sure Signal 2 Stopped working 1/5/2012 ?????

Same here. SS2 which had been working fine for a year has now been down for days. Have tried multiple resets and port forwarding the required ports to no avail. Router has been rebooted several times. The connection to it is fine as I have an internet tv attached on the pc side of the SS2 and that works fine. Can someone reset my connection please? Serial is 40110708928 Thanks.

[ Edited ]

For some reason I seem to be routing to a Vodafone IP range in Germany after hitting LINX in London. Is this a faulty routing issue on Vodafones side or on my ISP Virgin Media ? :-
