Hello,
I have had my Vodafone Sure Signal 3 for some years now - through different routers, even changed address. Always fine. Suddenly a few days ago it stopped working. No other change happening at same time.
I have follwed Jenny's guide - in mcase power is flashing, internet is off,
service light is solid orange, in use light is off
i.e.
Waited 24 hours
Checked Im registered (and updated my address)
checked physical connection - changed cable. Green light is on, other light is flashing
Checked active internet (using it now !)
Re-booted router (turned all off, waited, all on again)
Checked that it has an ip address by using home hub manager to see connected devices (it seems to consistently use 192.168.1.65
Port forwarding & MTU settings - I have not changed port forwarding and it has been working fine (plus not sure what to do here)
Reset using button underneath device
And for the most part done these several times each !
Serial number is 40124248861
BT is ISP - Home Hub 5
external ip address 86.182.147.178
Download speed 17Mbps, upload 8Mbps
Should I just go and buy a new one ?
thanks for any ideas, Su

Just noticed that somehow the title of my message said Sure Signal 1 - mistake ! it is in fact a sure signal 3
And yes, it is not a new device - but not sure I want to pay £!00 for another identical model - im likely to get exactly the same problem ....

It looks like your device has failed to connect to our servers since 9 June.
Everything else on your results looks OK. With you using a BT HomeHub, please make sure you have Smart Setup disabled on the router settings.
If you're not sure how to change this, your ISP can guide you.
I'd also recommend de-registering the Sure Signal before registering it again after 24 hours. This helps if you've had any power cuts lately.

thanks Ben_H
Smart setup was not already disabled so I disabled and re-booted everything and left for a while. Still same problem
So now I have de-registered and will leave 24 hours before re-registering ....
thanks for your help ! Su

Thanks for keeping us updated.
Are you able to try your Sure Signal in a different location?
Please also retry unplugging your router and Sure Signal again at the same time for 20 minutes.
