Sure Signal 3 stopped working

Giovanni01

After about 6 months my Sure Signal 3 has stopped working. None of the lights on top of the device come on but the green and orange lights of the router cable are on and flashing.

I have tried everything I could possibly immagine to make it work again (reset, unplug, restart router, etc.) but notghin seems to have any effect.

Ant advise?

Thanks

Hi

It comes with a 24 month warranty.

I assume you've seen the troubleshooting help thread.

Giovanni..

DO NOTHING ELSE EXCEPT IMMEDIATLY REMOVE THIS DEVICE FROM THE SOCKET, IT IS FAULTY AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS BEING A FIRE RISK.

I don't know why Lee has suggested anything other than taking this course of action as it is misinformed and dangerous to attempt any kind of test on it.

Lee: The OP stated clearly that his Version 3 "had no lights on". This should have been enough to inform you there was an issue.

It has more than likely failed internally and should be replace free of charge by Vodafone.

Please see my original posting on this matter here:

http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/Suresignal-V3-Overheated-Blew-Up-Exploded-Hot-Bu...

If you head over there and add your details of the SureSignal and what events have occured, someone from Vodafone will contact you in regards to a FREE replacement.

DO LET THEM TELL YOU THEY ARE NOT FREE!! THEY ARE

PLEASE: Ensure you spend 5 minutes to report this to the BBC Watchdog programme using the details in my signature below. These devices have been literally exploding and and dying for over 3 years and they are being investigated.

Can you also report to the BBC that Vodafone are allowing unqualified users on their website to answer tech questions on their behalf to advise others with information than can be potentially dangerous.

It is important to report all failed SureSignal V3 using the links below to:
