Sure Signal - Cannot see the Administrator

[ Edited ]

Firstly, I have three issues (as of 14.39 hrs BST, but give it time).

1. I can't even sign in to this forum!!!  When I type my user name in at the login screen, a message is displayed saying I have characters that are not permitted.  WTAF??  If I reset my password, I am logged in automatically by clicking the link in the email sent to me.  This is how I managed to post this.

Please can someone address this issue ASAP?

2.  I am registered as administrator with my main handset but these details are not visible under "Manage Users" on the woeful SS page on the web.

There is another handset registed to me & this is the only user visible.

After nearly an hour on the phone yesterday to the overseas call centre trying to make the operator understand the initial issues I had with the SS box, he told me that this particular error would be corrected after a couple of hours.

Well, surprise surprise, still no dice.

3.  The SS box is not picking up my handset.  It was yesterday after the chap I talked to finally admitted there was a network issue.  No surprise there then.

So, in conclusion: how the swinging ###### are users supposed to know if there is a wider fault with this Vodafone effort or something specific to their situation??  Actually, looking at the number of hacked-off punters on this forum, it seems a common theme.

Re: Sure Signal - Cannot see the Administrator

Hi Smiler.

I have logged your post for a response by our team to solve your Sure Signal issues, but noticed the eForum login issue and wanted to get that sorted straight away so you can post as needed and access any PMs.

The login was failing because of the full stop, as the eForum login does not allow any punctuation marks, only alpha-numeric characters. I've therefore amended the username to "Smiler2" as "Smiler" and "Smiler1" were taken. If you have an alternate username you'd prefer then let us know and we'll see if it is possible to change it to that. The password and other registered details are unchanged.

Your post is now logged for a response. We work everything in time order, so we will be looking to respond to you as soon as possible.

Dave

Re: Sure Signal - Cannot see the Administrator

Yes, thanks Dave.  I wonder how I was able to register in the first place then?

Anyhow, any danger of solving the issue with your kit/system, which after all, is the only reason I need to post on this forum.

Once again though, looking at the activity since I last posted, it seems that I am not the only one suffering with the Un-Sure Signal.

Re: Sure Signal - Cannot see the Administrator

Hi Smiler2

Thanks for your reply. In the main many of the Sure Signal queries can be handled online here on the eForum. However, as yours is an administrator error we'll require access to your account so I've sent a private message with details of how to contact us directly.

You can find your PM inbox here. If you can't access this link, please ensure that the box next to "Turn on private messages" is ticked on this page, and let us know if you need any further assistance.

Thanks

Simon

Re: Sure Signal - Cannot see the Administrator

This operation is a joke!!

I am warned that I might need to complete the online form twice.

But, I can't even conm plete it once!!!!!

What the ###### is the problem with using a . in the email address?

I suggest you ditch the 10 year-olds that code for you & employ some proper people.

I'm half expecting the email that I now have to send to bounce back.
