Sure Signal Not Working

Hi,

 

I've been struggling with my Sure Signal (v1) for the last few days - not sure what triggered it but it has been working for a few years now without any problems (bar the odd need for a reset). I have tried everything that I could find on these forums including a factory reset of the BT Homehub (v2) and setting up port forwarding. Initially I was just getting the one light but it is now getting a solid second and flickering the 4th before going back to a single light. I've tried plenty of resets of the VSS with no luck. Stats are posted below. If anyone has got any ideas please let me know.

Hi robepdavis, 

 

Your Traceroute looks ok after the first hop, so I've checked the serial number you've given me and your unit made contact with our server last night at 21:50.

 

Are you still having issues getting set up, or is this resolved for you now?

No unfortunately I'm still having problems - there is currently just one light showing on the box.

I tried another reboot earlier - I'm now getting a sequence I haven't seen before: the 2nd light is steady but the 1st is flashing. Any ideas?

This is a bit of a puzzler - are you able to try the unit on another internet connection?

 

We need to try and determine where the issue lies.

Sorry for the delay - I was unable to try the connection until the weekend. I tried it on Saturday at a different location and reset it there but it didn't connect. I've plugged it back in at home and reset it. Is there anything that you can try from your end or does it seem like the box is duff?

It is possible that it is a duff box as all of the tests suggest that it should be working.

Hi, 

 

My sure signal has been down all day. Just one solid light. Done a number of resets but nothing. This happened in October for the first time in years when vodafone did some updates and was down for weeks. I hope its not going to be the same again.
