Sure Signal Phone light not coming on

Hi. Our SKY router managed to reset itself a few days ago and ever since then the Sure Signal won't pick up any phones. I've hard reset it, left it for 24 hours, hard reset again and still nothing. In fact all the lights are on (its an original VSS) apart from the third one down. I have also tried deregistering the device and registering as well as de and reregistering all the devices linked to it.

 

Please can someone advise - this is the trace I pulled off it this evening

Hi clivos79,

 

I’ve just resynced it for you. To make sure the resync completes, can you perform a factory reset:-

  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show/flash (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead.
  • Once all lights display release the reset button.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

We're aware that there is an on-going issue with a small number of our customers using Vodafone Sure Signal with BT Infinity broadband routers. We are actively investigating this with BT and will provide an update as and when we know more.

On my side my SS is working again. No ideas what caused it but quick resolution.

Mine still is not working after various resets and errors cleared Voda side. As I said before; had it working in one location (linksys router) but not another (ZyXel router) - both on BT line.

 

No sense to it at all. Waste of time and money.

 

 

conti360 - do you have BT Infinity ?

 

VF - I am simply asking for an update on where you are with BT with respect to the issue experienced with users with Infinity and a SS.  It was being "worked on" ...but we have no feedback.

The issue is being actively investigated and a new Sure Signal will not resolve this.

 

We are looking into this and have requested an update.

This could be a router compatibility issue if it was working with the old router.

 

Can you post us your Sure Signal serial number so I can look at the registration, also can you confirm exactly what light sequence you are now getting?

Only the power light is ON - have done numerous resets and do not wish to do anymore unless neccesary.
