Solution

Sure Signal Problem

mattcoe
2: Seeker
2: Seeker

I have a Sure Signal 1 which has recently stopped working.

I have reset it but it seems to be going through the same cycle:

Power Light comes on

Second light flashes slowly and then goes constant on

Fourth light flashes for a minute or two

All the lights then go out, then all lights flash in sequence and the process starts all over again.

My serial number is 212302212264

If any moderator can help me I woud be so pleased, I'm lost without this thing.....

Matt

Hi mattcoe,

Please check the serial number you've provided, it has too many digits. :smileywink:

The steps in your traceroute are far to high, each hop should be less than 180ms. I'd recommend speaking to your internet service provider, as they should be able to help with that.

Thanks,

Kay

Hi Kay,

Thanks for the reply.

The serial number is 21230212264.  My Mistake...

Hi Kay (again),

I have just rerun the traceroute and the speeds seems to have improved.  Shoud this help.

Hi mattcoe,

Please try it at a different location (such as a friend or family members) and let us know if you see a different light sequence.

I've tried to 'ping' your Sure Signal but it's not connecting to our network. Your internet speeds are borderline for what the Sure Signal needs to work with just one device connected. This could also be the issue.

Let me know how you get on.

Kay

Hi Kay,

I have tried the Sure Signal on a neigbours router and I get the same results.

Any other ideas?

Regards

Matt

Hi Matt,

I'm afraid this would point to a fault with the unit.

As it's out of warranty, you can purchase a replacement online in store.

Thanks,

Ben
