Sure Signal Re-Synch

My sure signal box is playing up again.
All I have is the power light nothing else.
I have tried the trouble shooting guide to no avail.
My last hope is a re sync can someone arrange this for me please.

Hi scooterwales

 

I've resynched the Sure Signal for you. Give it a reset to pick this up.

 

For Sure Signal version 1 or 2:

  • Unplug the Ethernet cable from the Sure Signal.
  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead.
  • Once all lights display release the reset button.
  • Plug the cable back in.

 

For Sure Signal version 3:

  • Unplug the Ethernet cable from the Sure Signal.
  • Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports.
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds.
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button.
  • Plug the cable back in.

 

If it doesn't reconnect, post these details for me:

 

  •  Your speed test results from here.
  •  Your ping test results from here.
  •  Your external IP address from here.


Also, run a traceroute and post the results here:

 

On a PC 

  • Click on Start and select Run.
  • Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok.
  • A black box will appear.
  • In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 and press Enter.

 On a Mac

  • Open Terminal (Applications, Utilities).
  • Type traceroute 212.183.133.177 and press Enter.

Hi what VSS do you have , and who is your ISP ? Have you tried to rest the VSS yourself ?
