Sure Signal Registered to Closed Account

[ Edited ]

Hi,

I had a Sure Signal registered to my online account with my contract SIM and two of my childrens PAYG SIMs.

As my PAYG contract had reached the end of its lock-in period I had it cancelled. My online account was closed with the end of my PAYG contract and I now have no online access to my childrens SIMs or my Sure Signal.

I registered a new PAYG SIM with a new online account but can't access my Sure Signal as it fails with an 'already registered' message and I can't see a way of including the details of the childrens SIMs in the new online account.

I phoned Vodafone and after some discussion and delay was advised to register one of the childrens numbers as this would allow me to re-adopt the Sure Signal. This didn't work as I already have a new account with my email address and I don't particularly want multiple accounts.

Please advise how this can be resolved.

Thanks

Re: Sure Signal Registered to Closed Account

Some progress. Childrens accounts were contract so now have 2 contracts accounts and my PAYG. Research has shown they cannot be mixed so have registered 2 online accounts, 1 for PAYG and 1 for contract.

Contract online account can see both contract number and Sure Signal but the only Sure Signal details I can see are:

Registered
My name, which is shown
My Location, with my postcode shown
Your role; which is shown as 'user'
My Options; and the only option shown is 'Remove Me'

What is required to allow me to manage my Sure Signal again?

Hi stevr12,

We'll need to look into deregistering the Sure Signal from the original number at this end for you. Should you have the same situation in future, it's always best to transfer ownership to another number before cancelling the owner number - if you're getting a new number but don't have it yet, then you can use one of the other registered numbers temporarily then switch to your new number once you have that registered..

So that we can do that, I'll send you a PM. Just follow the directions inside to get us your details. If you can confirm the Sure Signal serial number as well, that will help to speed things up.

You can find your PM inbox here. If you can't access this link, please ensure that the box next to "Turn on private messages" is ticked on this page, and let us know if you need any further assistance.
