GOod morning all,

Finally got it to work again, so to save you all a bit of time. I have posted the solution below:

1.) Update your Sure Signals physical location (log in to your vodaphone online account, click on the sure signal device, check that the status in the top right corner says active, and click on update address). Type in your post code again, and click save.

2.) Assign the Sure Signal a permanent static IP address (in your router settings) That IP address should be assigned to the MAC address found on the back of your Sure Signal device.

3) Click on Port forwarding and 'open' the follwing ports:

8 Any - 50 Any

53 Any - 67 UDP

68 UDP - 123 UDP

500 UDP - 1723 TCP UDP

4500 UDP

4)  Click Firewall in the menu (This is for BT routers, on other routers this option might be called something else)

Check to see if the Sure Signal is listed in the Game or application drop down list. If you, you need to add it.

If listed, assign it a game or application name,  and then select the device on your home network (it may be necessary to use the device's MAC address to locate it.

  1. Click Add
  2. Click Apply
  3. Repeat this for any devices that you wish to use the Sure Signal with (make sure they are connected to your home network, so you can find them).

5) Click on Allow all ports in your fire wall settings in the router.

6) Perform a hard reset, ie. press down the small white button on the Sure Signal for around 30 secs.

7) Remove and reinsert the ethernet cable on both the Sure Signal device, and your router. Reinsert it in a new port, not the same one you used before.

😎 Restart the router.

9) Leave the Sure Signal to connect for up to 24 hours.

Let me know how you get on.

Thanks in advance, and good luck.
