Sure Signal V1 needs pushed update please

Fenboy
4: Newbie

Hi,

I have spoken to VF CS on the phone about my non working Sure Signal (was working fine up to a week or so ago) and they tried to de-register it and re-gesister it (I don't think it worked) and update SS by powering off/holding button etc. I have since re-registered my Sure Signal/tried updating it and still no luck,

Reading on the forum, it looks like VF need to force an update, if so, please can you arrange this to be done?

V1 SN: 21221974088

Many thanks,

Matt

Hi Fenboy,

I’ve requested this for you today so please don’t unplug or disconnect your Sure Signal.

If you’re still having trouble after 24 hours, please get back to us with the exact problems your having (light sequences etc) as well as the following so that we can look into this further:

Your speed test results from here.

Your ping test results from here.

Your external IP address from here.

The results of a traceroute.

VSS Traceroute command

On a PC:

Click on Start and select Run

Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok

A black box will appear.

In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter

Paste the output of this command into your reply.

Thanks,

Jenny

Hi Wayne,

Your Sure Signal is on the latest firmware.

To make sure it’s up to date, do a factory reset:-

  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show/flash (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held down, remove both the Ethernet cable and power lead
  • Re-insert the power lead
  • Once all the lights display, release the reset button
  • Re-insert the Ethernet cable.

If this doesn’t help, we’ll need the information that Kay asked for.

Also, let us know the light sequence you see on the Sure Signal.

Cheers,

Andy
