Sure Signal V1 stopped working

Hi

 

Our SS V1 has been working fine for months, if not years, but today it stopped working. There have been no changes in our network connection as far as I am aware.

Symptoms are:

when first noticed, all lights were off, then went through the usual sequence of light 1, light 2 flashing, then light 4 flashed a couple of times, then all lights off - and then repeated - but all very slowly.

After various resets (including router restart, and SS power-off reset with button held down until all 4 lights flashed in sequence), we then had some random-looking flashes, and eventually, it settled down to lights 1 and 2 on all the time, and nothing else happening.

Hi dingani,

Your problem is almost certainly due to a failing power supply which has now lost it's efficency and is unable to supply enough power to the Sure Signal to allow it to work correctly.

 

If you require one, they are readily available from Amazon or Ebay and cost around £10 delivered.
