Sure Signal V2 Not sending 3g Signal

I had given up on My Sure Signal owing to ongoing problems with calls being dropped. Following a nudge from Vodafone saying that they were going to cease my service as it was not being used I dug it out and thought I would give it a final try.

I set it up again and got both the power light and round white light up and stable quite quickly. I logged in and ensured that my number was registered and waited for a couple of days for things to sort themselves out. Nothing happened and  I got no signal to the phone. I rang 191 and eventually got through to a Sure Signal agent. His great suggestion was to reset the unit. I was not  not expecting very much from this - and sure enough 30 hours later nothing had happened. Still no signal.  I have read through the various topics and so far found nothing which helps that I can do myself as far as I can see.

In order to short circuit things I have run the tests most people seem to get asked to perform and posted the resaults below. Hopefully somebody will read this and be able to advise what my best next step is. Many thanks in advance.

Hi

If the sure signal hasn't been used for a period of 3 months then Vodafone can apply a bar on the device which would need sorting out by Cs.

Can you try an alternative power source as this is a known issue with V1 and V2 Sure Signals that the power source degrades.

Printer power leads / monitor leads can be used.  They are also Available from the Internet for about £10.

The power supply  from my old BT Home Hub is the same size and spec. I am giving that a whirl to see what happens. The red power light is steady as is the white one.

How long should I have to wait in order to get a signal  - currently still no action at the phone end.

Well here we are still with no action from the Sure Signal. Anybody got any ideas of my best next step?

@Dickimuss I can see your Sure Signal made a connection on our system late last night (2 June).

It can take up to 24 hours for the services to come back. You'll also need to reset your network settings via Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

Hi,

reset as as you suggested last night, but so far no change with the phone. The SS has now had the better part of two days to do any resetting it needs to do.

@Dickimuss

I've requested a full reset of your Sure Signal, this can take up to 6 hours to complete. Please leave your Sure Signal 6 hours to reset, then restart your phone whilst in range of the Sure signal.

If this doesn’t resolve your issue try connecting the Sure Signal in a different location. Once you’ve gained a connection try it at home again.
