Had to buy a new suresignal last week when my V2 failed to turn on after a powercut.  The V3 has been intermittenly working since it was set up but often (now) has a solid powerlight and flashing internet light.

BT Home Hub 5 and I have completed the portforward as per the troubleshooting instructions (opened port forwarding for 8,50,123,500,4500,1723 port)

Download 34.02mbps up 9.37mbps ping 31ms

External IP 86.145.199.142

Sure signal serial Number 42151546878

Please help - we are a business and canno't be without a signal.  The V2 was mostly reliable and only had problems when the network did.

Thanks

Caroline

@JasonArmsby

The light sequence you're experiencing normally means the Sure Signal is still initialising or updating.

Once of the things you'll need to check is that the Smart Set-Up option is disabled on your router.

If you're still experiencing the issue, once this has been disabled, please let us know so that we can investigate this further for you.

@Ellie

Please can you advise me how to do that on a BT Home Hub 5.

Thanks

Update:  I've googled it and made the changes to my router.  How can I tell when my sure signal has completed updating / initialising?

Thanks

You can find more information on changing these settings here.

If you need more assistance with the process, please contact BT directly.

Hi I made all the changes to the router over a week ago and still have the same problem

I have noticed that while we are near the sure signal it generally is ok but if we leave the house it is normally flashing when we got home and I have to unplug it and plug it in again to get it to connect and show the lights in the normaly pattern.  I never had to do this with our old sure signal.  Is there something else you or I can do?

Many thanks

@JasonArmsby

As long as the necessary settings have been changed, things should be working now.

The only thing you can do now is to try it on another connection, to see if the issue is with the device or not.

Can you see your end that it is connecting properly?

@JasonArmsby - We can see the Vodafone Sure Signal connected to the Vodafone network at 6.02 pm on 7 September successfully.

Are you still having issue with the device?
