Sure Signal V3 and BT Home Hub 5 problems

Hi,

I upgraded to BT Infinity a while back and the process was smooth and my Sure Signal V2 continued to operate without issues with the BT Home Hub 5. Recently the Sure Signal V2 died and I have replaced it with a new V3 one.

However, after spending ages attempting to connect (flashing white internet light), it ends up with the power light flashing and the internet and connected phone symbols at amber suggesting no internet connection.

Newly registered Sure SIgnal V3 serial number is 42142446485 which shows under my account as being registered and I received a text confirming registration.

Hi ghelliar,

Welcome to the eForum.

Please take a look here, for further information and future updates on this.

Thanks,

Sarah

Whilst the link worked the day you posted it, I now get access denied.

Hi ghelliar,

Please see here, for the working link.

Cheers,

Laura

Hi Laura, Unfortunately that link also failed. this time with... An Unexpected Error has occurred. Your request failed. We recommend you open a Lithium Support Case and provide the date and time you received the error and this Exception ID: 7A97DDD9 Good news is that on returning home this afternoon my Sure SIgnal is Showing all white lights and my phone is showing a usable signal at home. SO, I giess whatever the link said, it must have fixed the issue 🙂 BR, Graham

Hi ghellier,

Thanks for the update.

If you need anything else please let us know.

Cheers,

Laura

Hi - What would the link have said and should I just get BT to switch me to PPPOA?

 Thanks

Roger

Hi Roger,

You can find the up to date information from the link here.

You can speak with BT to see if they can arrange the change to PPPOA.

Thanks,

Matt B

I also experiencing the same problem and my site signal has not worked for 10 days! I rang Vodafone and unfortunately received no help and was told there was an issue that they were working on. Please can you explain if asking BT to change to PPOA will fix my problem? I also can't read the link and says access denied. Appreciate any help as I am extremely reliant on the for work and have no reception. Thank you!

Hi, Link does not say much other than they were aware of issue, and found poroblem and resolved it. This as the only part you could act on... We recommend if you’ve had an issue, reboot your device by removing and reconnecting the power cable as part of the restoration process. Please be advised that the time taken to restore each device will vary and can take up to a number of hours. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. If you continue to experience problems, please follow our troubleshooting guide. ...I personally had to do nothing at my end. I went out one morning with it not working, and when I came back it was.
