Sure Signal V3 - how to set up on PC?

Hi all,

Due to the size of area needed to boost our signal, we have more than one Sure Signal.  One is plugged directly into the router.  I've been told I can connect others to PCs to get an internet connection but there is no cable or information in the Sure Signal box telling me how to do this, and I cannot find any info online to guide me through the set up.

Can someone please advise what cable is needed for this, where on the PC it should be connected (network ports in use so not an option), and how it is then set up.

Many thanks,

Lisa

Hi @lisa_netherton

A Sure Signal has to be connected directly to a router in order to work.

Also, we can’t guarantee that a second Sure Signal will work in close proximity to another.

Thanks,

Jenny

Hi Jenny,

Thanks for your reply.  Can you tell me what the spare port on the back of the Sure Signal marked PC is intended for then?  That could be the source of the confusion.

Many thanks,

Lisa

Hi @lisa_netherton

I believe this is used for manual software updates and flashing, should it ever get sent to the repair centre.

Thanks,

Ben

Thank you Jenny and Ben_H for your help, it looks like we've been rather misled by our supplier!

Kind regards,

Lisa
