Sure Signal V3 not connecting

Hi,

I seem to have a similar problem to many others with their V3 Sure signal. Been working fine for 8 weeks and now the power light is flashing and two RH lights on amber. Tried to unplug, reset etc. with no change. Tried Live chat and tech support who promised to reset but has had no effect over the last 4 hours. Tried another reset and still no go. Ping is 14ms, Download 12.18Mbs, Uplaod 1.02, IP 84.93.214.22, serial number 42144716992 and trace info as follows.

Hi @cosworthkid

Welcome to the eForum.

I’ve checked the details that you’ve provided and they all seem ok.

If you’ve recently changed your internet service provider, make sure that your port forwarding is correct.

This should read as:

Ports and Protocols:

  • 8 – TCP/UDP                 (All routers)
  • 50 – TCP/UDP               (All routers)
  • 53 – TCP/UDP               (Virgin Super Hubs)
  • 67 – UDP                      (Virgin Super Hubs)
  • 68 – UDP                      (Virgin Super Hubs)
  • 123 – UDP                    (All routers)
  • 500 – UDP                    (All routers)
  • 1723 – TCP/UDP           (BT Home Hubs)
  • 4500 – UDP                   (All routers)
  • 33434 – 33445 – UDP    (Virgin Super Hubs)

If this is has already been done, try the Vodafone Sure Signal in a different location and see if this is giving the same light sequence.

Thanks,

Laura

Thank you so much for replying Laura.

I have not changed ISP - it is Plusnet via a Technicolor TG582n router. I bought the Suresignal new from a Vodafone shop, set it up as per instructions (changed nothing on my router) and it worked fine. Has done for 2 months. Only this last Monday has it stopped (flashing red and static 2 ambers on right). I have set up a device with port forwarding opened 8,50,123,500,4500 as you suggest. However it asks for me to select Sure Signal in the device name or enter an IP address for the Sure Signal. Can you send me one please.

Anyway, have set the device as the laptop (in light of nothing else) and will re-set the Sure Signal using the button. If no good, I will also try on another house, router etc.

I appreciate your help, I got very frustrated with web chat, tech support line etc. Just to add insult, Vodafone rang me today to sell me a contract extension - not at this moment!

John
