Sure Signal not working on Sky broadband anymore

My Sure Signal, which did work when first installed, hasn't worked for a while now. Internet light flashes but never connects, then gives up for a rest, then tries again. Have tried Reset etc, have set up fixed ip address for it, MTU 1500 etc. I suspect my IP Address may need whitelisting as I use Sky boradband and this seems to be largely messy with VF SS. Details:

Thanks for posting your details ready. Your IP address is on the whitelist already however I'm concerned with the fact the third step of your trace route is missing. Could you run another at another time of day to this one and post the result back?

 

Also have your ISP confirmed any changes in your service or access that could affect your Sure Signal too?

I'm on Sky, I'm not aware of anything changing to alter the box, however I would expect the box to work with any major broadband provider in UK

 

Must admit to getting fed up having no SS, as it seems are a lot of other users. Paid a lot of money for what is now a useless paperweight.

Hi Davem05,

 

Do you have any other devices using your network at the same time as the Sure Signal?

 

If you do can you disconnect them and see if this makes a difference?

 

Also, does changing the Ethernet cable fix the issue?

 

If neither of these suggestions work, the next thing would be to try the unit in a different location, that of a family member or friend.
