Sure Signal not working

Having upgraded to BT Buisness infinity i have not been able to get my ssure signal v1 to connect so i get the mobile to work. I have received DIRECTly contradictory advice from Vodfone and BT. So far 29 phone calls and still no satisfaction.

We have set the ports (by vodfone technoician) - checked by BT engineer and changed as incorrect ports opened. These have been verified by a second BT engineer and extra port opened and still the wrteched machine will n ot work. This V1 box was installed on 7/4/2010 so i do not know if it has correct or compatible firmware with fibre. I have been 'told' that sure signal does not work with PPPoE but forums and BT technicians advise it is. Can ANYONE ADVISE how to get this to work. Come to think of it maybe i should go to TRADING STANDARDS as it clkearly does not do what it says on the tin!

Let me answer your points.

Sure signal is V1 and serial number is 21222175248. It has power light (grreen) onthe front and at the back where th cable goes in green light and flashing yellow light

Ping Test

18 ping downlaod 10.49 and uplaod at present .75 BUT should get up to 1.8 as line sttles (i understand from several sources it takes about 10days to settle.

Just to recap the changed were made last week as we were infinityised (!). Sure signal worked on old bt router.

So we now have Business Broadband Hub 3. (we have to have that as server requires fixed ip address) Hub 4 and 5 only offer floating IP address.

Ping Test

Line B* Ping 19ms and Jitter 1ms

IP address is 81.149.228.35

IPV6 address is ::ffff:5195:e423

Hi johnofchidd,

We’re aware of an issue with the Sure Signal and the Home Hub 3 which is being investigated with BT.

As all of the speeds and ports are fine, this would be the likely cause of your problems.

The best way to prove this, is to test the Sure Signal on a friends or family members internet connection, that uses a different provider and router.

If this works then we know that there isn’t a problem with the Sure Signal.
