Hello

Our VSS v1 has been working fine, till last night were I noticed I'd lost service.

The first power light is on constant and the second light just flashes constantly.

Can you look into this please as I've not touched the VSS and it just seems to of stopped working by itself.

The serial number is 21223150083

Many thanks in advance

Phil

Hi @philc123

Yours is quite an old unit. Does testing another power cable or Ethernet cable help? If not, please let us know:

  • Your speed test results from here.
  • Your ping test results from here.
  • Your external IP address from here.
  • The results of a traceroute.

VSS Traceroute command

On a PC:

Click on Start and select Run

Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok

A black box will appear.

In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter

Paste the output of this command into your reply.

This will help us get the quickest possible resolution for you.

Thanks

Ben

Update - All the lights are now on as expected.
However, my phones signal hasn't changed so I'm not connected to the box.
Any help appreciated.

Are you on plusnet?

mine has stopped again. Last week plusnet changed a network config and blocked all sure signals on thier network.

Hello

I'm on Virgin.
Can't understand how it's stopped working, once these things work you just leave them.
Any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards
Phil
