I have just had delivery of a new sure signal, I have an iphone 5.  Although it says I have full signal on the phone, when I speak to someone, I cant hear them and they cant hear me after about 5 seconds, it keeps breaking up.

I have had this problem for a few months, hence they replaced the sure signal.  What else can I do please.  I have the new version of the sure signal

Hi

Please take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread. If this doesn’t resolve your query, please post your reply either below, or in the relevant thread, together with the details requested, including the following information.

Your speed test results from here.

Your ping test results from here.

Your external IP address from here.

The results of a traceroute.

Your Sure Signal serial number:

Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok

A black box will appear.

In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter

Ok

Speed test was 1.13mbps download, 0.34 mbps upload

Ping 49 ms

IP is 86.170.48.119

serial number 40131157832

My issue is not in your troubleshooting.

Bascially, the Sure signal has all the right lights on, my phone says full signal but when someone calls or I call them, my voice breaks up and so does theirs

Please help

Hi mrmortgages,

All of the tests look fine.

Can you confirm if you still have an issue without anything else using the router at the same time?

Basically, the poor audio issue is normally down to the speed of the broadband or the MTU setting.

If possible, please can you also log into your router admin panel and try to change the MTU size to 1500?

Give this a go and let me know how you get on.

James
