Sure Signal stopped Working

Hi, My sure signal has been fine for months then about a month or so ago just stopped working. I've tried various things. All I had was a single power light (1of 4). Followed the troubleshooting guide and set the MTU to 1500. Rebooted etc this had a positive effect because lights 2 & 3 started blinking during the reboot, Sometimes all three were on or then Lights 1 & 3 without light two. Now lights 1 & 2 are on solid Box is a Sagem Ser No 21230239572. Can anyone offer any advice please

Have noe actioned a Path Ping and thast is showing no reources

Hi bistodrinker,  

 

I’ve checked your Sure Signal serial number and it’s showing that it connected to our servers last night at 21:15, are you still getting only lights one and two on?

 

To make sure your Sure Signal is as up to date as possible, I’ve just performed a resync for you. To make sure the resync completes, can you perform a factory reset:-

 

  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show/flash (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead
  • Once all the lights display, release the reset button
  • The Sure Signal will come online in about an hour

 

IF this doesn’t work for you, we’ll need some additional information from you. Can you provide the following please:-


Your speed test results from here.
Your ping test results from here.
Your external IP address from here.
The results of a traceroute.

VSS Traceroute command

On a PC:

Click on Start and select Run
Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok
A black box will appear.
In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter
Paste the output of this command into your reply.

Thank you. I have carried out the instruction as you said. I don't know if this is significant or not but light one is now coming on for a couple of mins and then going out for a couple of mins, as yet none of the other lights have started to flash as happens in a reload scanario. i will leave it a couple of hours.
