Sure Signal stopped working

My sure signal V3 has stopped working.  I have unplugged it and replugged it in several times.  I have rebooted the router several times and I have waited 24 hours to see if it resolves itself.  Unfortunately not and all I get is solid red power light and a flashing internet light.  No other lights.

Speed Test Result is 13.8mb download and 0.89mb upload

Additional Information:

The V3 has solid green light and flashing orange light on the Cat5 cable connection to the router.  The router has lights to say the V3 is connected and communicating.

The MTU on the router was set at 1492 and I have changed this to 1500 - still no change.

In the logs on the router, the V3 is asking for and is being offered an IP address from the routers DHCP server:

Aug 08 07:19:00 daemon DHCP SERVER: DHCPDISCOVER from b0:46:fc:9a:c0:c7 via br0
Aug 08 07:19:01 daemon DHCP SERVER: DHCP offer to b0:46:fc:9a:c0:c7
Aug 08 07:19:01 daemon DHCP SERVER: DHCP request from b0:46:fc:9a:c0:c7
Aug 08 07:19:01 daemon DHCP SERVER: DHCP ack to b0:46:fc:9a:c0:c7

However, this continues and it appears that the V3 never obtains an IP address.

All other devices in the house receive an IP address ok from the router, including connecting a new device this morning, obtaining an IP and connecting to the internet with no issues.

Again, any help would be appreciated.

Not sure if it matters, but as I have been rebooting the router, my IP address has changed to: 2.101.23.167

So after several reboots, I have left it for a while and the V3 has an IP address, but all I have is a solid red power light and a flashing internet light (first light)..

I can ping the V3 from my PC ok and it replies fine.

All other internet connected devices seem to be working fine to me.

The router, as far as I can possibly know has not changed over the last few days (certainly not by me) except for the MTU change I made this morning.  It is a very basic BiPac router with all traffic outbound open.

The V3 is obviously not able to create the VPN to the Vodafone network to establish a connection and so I wondered what steps I need to take next to try and resolve the issue?

Hi nfshirley,

Thanks for posting. You've provided plenty of information and I'm pleased to see you used the other posts in the eForum as a guide to do some basic testing. :Smiling:

All seems to be fine with the details you've posted and your Sure Signal seemed to have reached our servers successfully yesterday morning around an hour after your original post. I can see however than a re-synchronisation flag didn't complete back in mid June so I'm pushing one through manually for you now.

I'll need you to reset the device again to complete the action and remember it could take up to an hour before it cycles and comes back on.

Let me know the outcome! :Smiling:

Cheers, Ben
