Sure Signal v1 drops calls when I get an inbound call on landline

cheadle3G
4: Newbie

My SS v1 generally works OK, but have noticed that if I am on a voice call on mobile, via SS, that call will drop if someone calls inbound on the voice line of our broadband connection. This seems odd - it's like you can only have one voice call at a time?

I havent seen anyone else report this on the forum - any ideas?

It's actually working fine apart from this odd problem.

Hi cheadle3G

Thanks for your reply.

Your speed and ping tests are fine and your IP is white listed.

If you can’t get a connection past hop 1 then there is an issue with your ISP and your internet connection.

When you make the call, how many bars are showing as it would appear your phone isn’t connecting to the Sure Signal?

Thanks

Simon

Hi just tried the TraceRT again and got different results this time:

But when I make a call I've got 4 bars and H on so I guess it's working pretty well?

Hi cheadle3G,

If you have 4 bars and H then this is a good connection.

Your upload speed is quite low so even though it is enough to successfully make/receive calls, if multiple devices try to use the connection this may cause issues (such as dropped calls).

Thanks,

Kay

Hi Kay, that makes sense actually, my broadband is OK but I cant get a higher speed where I live, so that may explain tne odd problem that i have. thanks.
