My Sure Signal V1 has stopped transmitting signal to both of the registered phones. I have performmed a reset as described in other posts but still no signal is transmitted.

The Sure signal has lights 1,2,4 on an no light on 3, it has been working fine for years but since a power cut a few days ago we have no 3g signal.

My serial number is 21196853549

My external ip is 87.194.20.132

Many thanks

My issue was resolved by following the solution detailed in this post http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/Correct-lights-on-but-not-picking-up-3G-signal/m...

@Jenny

Thanks for your message over on the "Correct lights on but not picking up 3G signal" thread. I can confirm I have BT Smart Setup switched off and there is no recognition of my phone (Iphone6 4q switched off) or my wifes (iphone 5s).

Thanks for your continuing help in getting to the bottom of this.

@neal99

I've sent an update to your Sure Signal, please don't turn it off, reset it or change anything for the next 24 hours.

After that time, turn any phones registered to it off and on again while in range of the Sure Signal and this should now be working for you.

@ChazzD

Thanks for doing that. I have followed instrauctions and there is no change here. It seems unlikely that my sure signal would have failed, doesn't it?

What are the options now.

Thanks. N

@neal99 - So we can investigate this further, can you let me know the light sequence you can see?

As soon as we can take a look at this, we’ll be able to help further.

Also try performing a re-set on the Vodafone Sure Signal to see if this helps with phones connect.

See below on how to do this-

  • Unplug the ethernet cable from the Sure Signal
  • Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button
  • Plug the cable back in
  • Allow around one hour for the Sure Signal to come back online.

@laura

Thanks for helping me. I have a steady set of 1,2 and 4 lights on. Have just run a reset to your sequence - when I pressed in the reset button all the 4 light came on and were steady. I held it for 60 secs (no change to lights) so released the button and put the ethernet cable back in. Was this what you expected to happen?

@neal99,

If you have a Version 1 as I think you have ..... Laura has given you the incorrect reset instructions

Here is the correct sequence ............

For version 1 Sure Signal (the one with four lights on the front):

The reset button needs to be held in throughout this entire process

  • Press and hold down the reset button for 30 seconds
  • The LED’s flash once from top LED to bottom LED in sequence
  • Continue to hold in the reset button and remove the power cable from the VSS for 10 seconds
  • Keep the reset button held in and plug the power cable back into the VSS
  • Wait for the LEDs to flash once from top LED to bottom LED in sequence
  • You can now release the reset button
