Solution

Sure Signal v1 no 3g Signal

Hi

My sure signal has stopped working. I have lights 1,2 and 4 on but neither of our phones have a signal. It has been off all day now!

I have tried the full reset as suggested but still no signal.

The serial number is 21230722239 if that helps at all.

Any ideas?

Hi jimbobmob,

Thanks for posting your details. While your IP and speedtest results are OK, your traceroute failing on step two is a little worrying.

I've pushed a manual sync through for you from our end to make sure your unit is up to date. To complete the action, can you:

  • Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports.
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds.
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button.

Let me know if the Sure Signal comes back online after an hour.

Cheers, Ben

Hi philsull,

I’m glad to hear you’ve resolved this.

We don’t supply spare power cables.

Thanks,

Sarah

Once again i'm having problems with my VSS. Its been working fine for a long time and then suddenly sometime yesterday it stopped working. - see my previous post near the top of the thread :Smiling:

I've done a hard reset and also a traceroute:

I have one solid green light (power) on and nothing else. Its showing up as a connected device on my router but not listed in the uPNP devices as it has done previously. Its getting a bit old now (6 years) so maybe its just given up the ghost? I am a business customer (through my employer) and as a Cat 1 emergency responder i need a phone signal.

Please advise.

Have a look through the other threads with postings 17/12 and 18/12. There are many Plusnet customers whose Suresignals have suddenly failed. There is also an open thread over on the PN forum (under the Fibre heading) you might want to add your details there too

http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,135002.32.html

All sorted now.

On another note could anyone tell me how to find out what my username is as I have to do a password reset each time I want to log in to these forums. You get an email with a link to reset your password which logs you in but no-where does it say anywhere on my account pages what my username actually is. :smileyfrustrated:

Hi @Paul Reeves,

Please refer to this post for further help.

Thanks,
