Good Morning

My Sure Signal has been down for at least the past 16 hours, this is the only way I get reception at home where I work, please can you advise if this is a VF problem and if so when will it be fixed or is this my Sure Signal which I have had for just 5 weeks?

I have reset 4 or 5 times and same issue flashing red powere and 2 solid orange lights.

Please advise

RC

Its a problem which is affecting everybody mate so hopefully today (Mon) Vodafone staff will get this fixed. It appears the Siure Signal is only designed to work between Mon-Fri, any outages on the weekend then tough luck, Vodafone staff are on holidays and you will just have to suffer. Even calling their phone support gets them confused when you ask them "Are you're Sure Signal servers down?"

The reply says it all - complete silence from Vodafone and call centre just say "reset device and wait 24 hours" as standard response to all questions regarding Sure Signal.

You might want to weigh in on this thread so all the noise is in one place? -

Hi all,

Apologies we did not respond sooner.

Things look to be OK at the moment. Are you still having issues with your connection.

If you are, please try a reset to start with.

For Sure Signal version 1 or 2:

  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead.
  • Once all lights display release the reset button.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

For Sure Signal version 3:

  • Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports.
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds.
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

Failing that, pop us these details:

  • Your Sure signal serial number.
  • Your speed test results from here.
  • Your ping test results from here.
  • Your external IP address from here.
  • The results of a traceroute.

We also need the results of a traceroute test:

On a PC :

  • Click on Start  and select Run
  • Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok
  • A black box will appear.
  • In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177    press Enter

 On a Mac:

  • Open Terminal (Applications, Utilities)
  • Type traceroute 212.183.133.177 and press Enter
