Solution

Sure appears to Work, but HTC Desire does not.

Hi

I have swithed from pay monthly to PASG (a traumatic experience) and now I think I have finally got things working apart from my sure.  The correct lights are on, but my HTC Desire can not see it.  I am also registered as the owner on this site.  I can get a mobile network (an E with two arrows) when I stand in the garden. (The only place I can get any bars).

Thanks in advance

Peter

Hi Fisher123,

I can see that you’re still running the old firmware.

I’ve asked for this to be updated which will be pushed out to you within the next 48 hours.

Please leave your Sure Signal switched on and connected whilst this is done.

@Nabs – Thanks for your help on this one.

Hi Fisher123,

Have you tried following the steps in the Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread.

If you are still experiencing the issue having completed these steps, post the template with your answers here and the team can look into this further.

Thanks Nabs

I have not worked through the trouble shooting list as I do not have another phone to test, and for the same reason I can not change the ownership (I am reluctant to enter a mythical number for fear I may break something!

I am not sure I understand what you mean by "post the template".

BTW t was all working until I removed the Pay Mothly Sim and put in the PASG.

Thanks again for your reply.

Did you change pysical sim card when you changes to PAYG?

Yes, removed the old SIM and replaced it with the new.

That's probably why the phoen isn't connecting to the SS anymore.

The Sure Signal uses the unique number (i think 16 digits) of the SIM to verify that the phone is allowed to connect. If the SIM card is changed then this ID will change. Usually the SureSignal will pick up the new SIM details automatically within 24hours however sometimes it needs a manual sync.

If you post the serial number of your Sure Signal one of the eForum team will be able to arrange a resync for you

Nabs

OK Thanks

The serial no is 21231326071.  So I just wait now?
