Re: Sure signal stopped working

Hi gilcoa,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Looking at the traceroute that you have provided I can confirm that everything looks fine.

Have you been able to try the Sure Signal on a different internet connection?

If not I would try this first and then if this works we know that there is a problem with your internet connection and we would then need you to do a speed test and a ping test on your own broadband connection.

James

Re: Sure signal stopped working

Hi my broadband went t*ts up around 00.20 hrs in the early hours, conected to the local exchange ok but no internet provider access even after several reboots.

Problem has been sorted this morning but after 3 resets of the sure signal unit i cant get it working only the usual flasing lights before it gives up.

My serial number is 40113813709 if you can give it a nudge as its in the loft so constant resets are a pain.

Re: Sure Signal Still Not Working

Hi thiswayup,

Thanks for your post. I just nticed this one as I was browsing the eForum.

I've performed a resync for you. If you could factory reset it for me and let me know how you get on that would be fab!

Cheers,

Lee

Re: Sure signal stopped working

Hi,

I had a similar problem with our Sure Signal.

I was passed from pillar to post by the 'tech team' at Vodafone - but the thng would not go despite all their attempts at re-syncing and all the handset / unit resets. . . . . .

In the end I decided to take it back and get my money back.  However, as a last attempt I tried to change the location postcode in my sure signal settings on the Vodafone site to one miles away (my work address).  After it had accepted the new location I changed it back to my home address and re-set the unit.

BINGO!!! It worked!!!

THe device has stopped working a couple of times following power cuts and each time the above has sorted the problem.

Give it a try!

S

Re: Sure signal stopped working

My Sure Signal has stopped working a few days after adding my new iPhone 4S to the account. It has the power light on but the @ light flashes intermittantly. I have done a factory reset but it remains the same.  Looks like it needs a vodafone re-sync. Its no. is 21222705358
