Sure signal V3 not working

pjw11
4: Newbie

Good morning.

I had my Home hub 3 replaced yesterday to a Home Hub 5  and since then my sure signal (V3) has not worked. My current ip address is 91.125.78.10. My Sure signal serial No is 40133477311.

FYI. Flashing red and 2 solid orange lights.

Appreciate some help.

Phil

Hi pjw11,

Everything looks fine with the setup and the registration.

Can you confirm if you’re still seeing the same light sequence and which lights are orange?

I’d also try a reset to reinitiate the connection with the new router.

-Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports.

-Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds.

-Release the button

-The lights will then go off and go through the setup process.

Finally got it working but only after I'd replaced the HomeHub 5 with a 3rd party router which I had planned to do in any event, in this case it just seems like it did not like the HomeHub.

Hi pjw11,

Thanks for the update, it’s great to see your Sure Signal is working again.

Cheers,

Andy

Unfortunately for reasons I won't go into I had to revert to the Home Hub 5 so I am back in the same situation so I would appreciate some help with this, Still flashing power light and 2 steady orange lights.

Hi pjw11,

There could be a few things here.

Try plugging the ethernet cable into a different port on the router. It may be the socket you've been using is not working.

Also, check the following to ensure that there's nothing blocking the connection.

Ports to be opened for forwarding on the router:

  • 8
  • 50
  • 123
  • 500
  • 1723
  • 4500

IP addressed to allow on the router and forwarding:

  • 212.183.133.177-179
  • 212.183.133.181-182
  • 212.183.131.128-191
