Hi

My Sure Signal was working OK for a number of months and then it stopped working about 4 weeks ago.

I have tried re-setting it and the router but nothing has worked.  The power indicator is solid red and periodically the internet indicator flashes but it doesn't seem to be able to connect.

All other devices which are connected to the internet are working normally.

It is a Sure Signal 3 serial number 40124233566 connected to a BT Home Hub 3

The ping test result is 64ms with jitter 1 ms

Download is 18.49Mbps

Upload is 4.67mbps

IP Address 86.185.79.95

Hi shunter100

All the information given looks to be good.

I have resynced the device and reset the location to clear any errors, please let me know if this has any change and what lights you're currently seeing.

Please can you also check the following ports are open on your router:

Ports to be opened for forwarding

  • 8 (TCP & UDP)
  • 50 (TCP & UDP)
  • 53  (TCP & UDP)
  • 67 (UDP)
  • 68 (UDP)
  • 123 (UDP)
  • 500 (UDP)
  • 1723 (TCP & UDP)
  • 4500 (UDP)
  • 33434 - 33445 (UDP)

IP addresses to be allowed on the router & firewall

  • 212.183.133.177-179
  • 212.183.133.181-182
  • 212.183.131.128-191

I can see it's registered successfully, so once the above steps have been followed please perform a reset:

  • Unplug the ethernet cable from the Sure Signal
  • Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button
  • Plug the cable back in
  • Allow around one hour for the Sure Signal to come back online.
