Hi

My sure signal has stopped working after i changed my normal sim to a micro sim. The phone is an apple 4s. I have tried everything suggested on all of the forums but it still will not connect. Do you have to re-sync my sure signal box to my new sim?

My sure signal serial number is;

40111126476

Thanks

Have you tried de-registering and then re-registering the VSS box?  I had the same problem on Friday and I done the de-registering and re-registering and within 20 minutes all was working well and all devices (iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and 3 x iPads) all connecting within minutes

Oh well, it was worth a try - I understand your frustration though - good luck and I hope things are sorted for you soon :Smiling:

Hi deannotley,

Thanks for your posts.

I’ve resynced your Sure signal today so please complete this by carrying out a factory reset as follows:

-Hold the reset button till all the lights come on or flash (about 30 seconds)

-Keeping the rest button held, remove and re-insert the power lead

-Once all the lights come on or flash, release the reset button

-The VSS should come online within the hour

Let me know how you get on.

Cheers,

Jenny

Hi,

I've tried removing the adding the number back to units ( as per http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/iPhone-5-Sure-Signal/td-p/1284492 ) but still not woroking.  Could I get the following SSs re-sync'd please?

Hi MrMojo,

I've done the resyncs, but I noticed that neither Sure Signal showed a number being removed. If you re-registered it too quickly, then this may not have picked up - we'd recommend waiting at least an hour inbetween.

Can you reset the two boxes for me to pick up the resync?

For Sure Signal version 1 or 2:

  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead.
  • Once all lights display release the reset button.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

For Sure Signal version 3:

  • Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports.
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds.
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

Phoned customer service and got all sorted.

Hi Dave,

thanks for the re-sync - worked a treat.

The number was definately removed and added back - left it 24 hours on each of the devices too.

cheers,
