Sure signal warning texts

I'm with virgin broadband and purchased a sure signal v2. About every week i get a text to say the sure signal has moved - it hasn't.

I read it's due to ip address changing - will the world come to an end if i don't log in and confirm the postcode ? cos if this keeps happening .... i can't be bothered.

We recommend keeping your postcode accurate. Should the worst happen and you need to speak to the emergency services, they have access to the postcode so they know where any urgent calls are coming from should they need to trace you. 

 

You can request Virgin to fix your IP address for you. If you sourced your router through anyone other than Virgin, you may need to get in touch with the manufacturer to get instructions on how to set it up too.

 

It's also worthwhile posting the sort of router you have here to see if any members of the community can advise further. :Winking_smiley:
